Etymology

There are several interpretations for the name of this municipality one stems from Aramaic, meaning "Divine eye".

Archaeological sites

There are a large number of caves near Ainbal. There are also the ruins of Kouroum el Qarya or "Vines Village" located on a hill overlooking the village.
