Minieh-Danniyeh District
Minieh-Danniyeh District (kaza, caza, qadaa, قضاء) is one of six districts of North Lebanon Governorate, constituted by a fertile coastal plain. The mouth of the Nahr El Bared (the river El Bared) marks its northern border.
It is bounded in the North by Aakkar District, in the East by Aakkar District and Hermel District, and in the South by Zgharta District, Bcharreh District and Tripoli District. Its surface reaches 362 square kilometers.
During the municipal elections of 2004, Minieh-Danniyeh District counted 92 142 residents, 139 856 registered voters, among which 73 255 actual voters.
Its administrative center locates in the city of Minieh.
