Franco-Lebanese municipal Week in France

A delegation representing 22 municipalities in Lebanon will visit France at the beginning of next week to participate in the Franco-Lebanese municipal week held from 4th until 9th of October 2010 . This event is organized by the International Press and Information Center in Montigny-le-Bretenneux, under the patronage of the Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ziyad Baroud.

Agenda of this event includes a formal meeting and three workshops involving experts, French officials and some members of the Lebanese delegation on the following topics: the role of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines municipalities, twinning and civil society. Also two field visits to the facilities of JC Decaux Company and to the "Modern City" exhibition. In addition, the delegation will visit the city of Élancourt, where two workshops will be held focusing on "security of the future" and "modern technologies for safety."

A visit to the National Assembly and a reception in honor of the delegation from the Lebanese ambassador in France, Boutros Assaker will also take place.
